APPLICATION DESCRIPTION:

PROTEX 8216-5B is a 5 mil polyester film with an acrylic latex adhesive, tinted blue, designed to protect various metal surfaces including polished, clad, bare and heat treated aluminum, stainless steel and various coated and un-coated  plastic surfaces, e.g. stretched acrylic, Plex II, cast acrylic, and polycarbonates. PROTEX 8216-5B is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 325 degrees and prolonged outdoor exposure. Chemical resistance recommended only after thorough initial testing.
